A sinking pencil with excellent long cast performance that is your trump card for conquering surfaces.
Gandalf comes into play when you need to make long casts in shallow waters, or when you have to cast into the headwind in heavy rain.
There are various ways to use it, but the basic approach is to use it as a weak baitfish swimming just below the water surface with slight waves, and induce a strong bite by varying the reeling speed.
It is also recommended to use it by skating on the water surface when bug trout enter the shallow area in search of food or rise.
