Returns Simplified. The Van Staal VR II Series Bailed Spinning Reels are built for anglers who demand durability, smooth performance, and protection from harsh saltwater environments. Designed as the next evolution of the VR platform, these reels combine a lightweight yet strong aluminum construction with a fully sealed design to deliver dependable performance for surf, boat, and inshore fishing applications.
Machined from 6061 aluminum, the VR II offers a rigid and corrosion-resistant frame that maintains strength without unnecessary weight. The fully sealed body and spool help protect internal components from water intrusion, making these reels well-suited for demanding surf and saltwater conditions. A stainless steel spiral-bevel gear system provides smooth, reliable operation and consistent cranking power under load.
Updated with Powergrip handle and drag knobs, the VR II improves comfort and control during retrieves and while adjusting drag settings. Each reel also includes a bail-less conversion kit, allowing anglers to customize their setup based on preference. Built for performance and reliability, the VR II Series is designed to handle a wide range of saltwater fishing situations.
