Avid Carp XR Spod / Marker Reel

Quick Overview

The Avid Carp XR Spod / Marker Reel is a fast and powerful carp reel designed for long-range spodding and precise marker work. It is ideal for anglers looking for high retrieve, a reliable drag system, and neat line lay during repeated casting.

Description

This reel was developed for demanding carp fishing situations where it is necessary to quickly retrieve a spod rocket or marker float while maintaining maximum control at longer distances. The 5.7:1 gear ratio and 138 cm retrieve per handle turn help reduce the time between casts, while slow oscillation and the worm shaft system contribute to even line lay and improved casting distance. The dual line clip further makes accurate baiting and marking at two different distances easier.
