Duo Realis Bay Ruf BR Fish 5: Electric Olive Edition

When the fishing gets tough and predators are keyed into small, fast-moving baitfish, the Duo Realis Bay Ruf BR Fish 5 is the ultimate finesse tool. This Electric Olive edition offers a unique translucent green hue that perfectly mimics the back of a sandeel or a small pollack, providing a natural yet vibrant silhouette that excels in both clear and slightly stained water.

At Gerrys Fishing, weve seen this lure become a secret weapon for anglers who need to trigger reactive strikes using a high-energy darting technique. Unlike a standard paddle tail, this is a pin-tail finesse lure that relies on erratic, sudden movements to mimic a panicked baitfish on the run.

Precision Darting & Versatility

• Wide Lateral Spread: When worked with pulls or sharp rod flicks, the lure zig-zags wildly from side to side. This erratic escape action is often the only thing that will provoke a strike from a following predator.

• Dual-Orientation Rigging: * Flat Side Up: Ideal for standard cast-and-retrieve or bottom fishing. It provides a stable, hovering glide.

  • Flat Side Down: Increases water resistance on the pull, forcing the lure to dart further to the left and right for an aggressive action.

• High-Mobility Material: The soft plastic compound is stiff enough to maintain its shape during fast retrieves but flexible enough to vibrate at the tail with every twitch of the rod tip.

• Optimized for BR Heads: Designed to be the perfect partner for the Bay Ruf BR Head, ensuring the center of gravity is perfectly balanced for that signature darting motion.

Where to Use the BR Fish 5 Electric Olive

The 5-inch profile and Electric Olive color make this a versatile predator hunter. The Gerrys team recommends it for:

• Clear Water Bass Fishing: The olive tones provide a subtle, non-intrusive profile that mimics natural forage, while the pin-tail offers a stealthy vibration that doesnt spook wary fish.

• Vertical Darting for Pollack: Use it over deep reefs or wrecks. Drop it down and use long, sharp draws of the rod to make the lure dance vertically through the water column.

• Fast Prospecting: Because of its low water resistance, you can cast this lure a long way and work it back very quickly to cover vast areas of water in search of active fish.

• Sandeel Imitation: Rig it on a 10g20g darting head and work it across the current in sandy estuaries where bass are actively hunting sandeels and sprats.

Gerrys Verdict:

If you want to master the Darting technique that is taking the lure fishing world by storm, the Bay Ruf BR Fish 5 in Electric Olive is the lure to do it with. It offers incredible responsiveness and versatility, and with 7 lures per pack, it provides great value for a premium Japanese finesse bait
