But here at Gerrys Fishing, we know the Graphex Supermatch takes that legacy to a whole new level. Infused with Nobel Prize-winning Graphene technology, this 13ft 6in masterpiece is arguably the most versatile rod in the Century stable.
The Supermatch is designed for the angler who refuses to be pigeonholed. Whether you are a match circuit regular needing finesse for flatfish or a pleasure angler punching out big baits for winter Cod, this rod balances raw power with incredible sensitivity. Its light in the hand, remarkably easy to load, and features a J-curve action that feels smooth from the moment you start the cast to the moment youre reeling in a double-header.
Graphene-Infused Resin: By adding Graphene to the resin matrix, Century has created a blank that is lighter, tougher, and faster to recover than ever before. You get more distance with less physical effort.
The Gearbox Butt: This isnt just a stiff tube. The butt section features a phased composite taper that acts like a gearbox, progressively storing energy and releasing it exactly when you need it during the punch of your cast.
SG-T Hybrid Tip: The tip is a sophisticated blend of Super Glass-Carbon and Intermediate Modulus carbon. The result? Youll see the tiniest rattle from a 4oz Whiting at 100 yards, yet the tip wont fold when the tide starts to pull.
Anti-Twist Technology (AT-T): This internal architecture stops the rod from twisting during the cast, keeping your guides perfectly aligned for laser-like accuracy and maximum energy transfer.

Clean to Mixed Ground: This is the king of the everyday marks. From the steep shingle of Chesil Beach to the sandy flats of the Solway Firth, it handles varying terrains with ease.
Match Fishing: When points are on the line, the Supermatch gives you the edge. Its sensitivity ensures you dont miss the subtle scratching bites that often win matches.
Estuary Work: Thanks to its 13ft 6in length and easy loading, its perfect for flicking baits into deep estuary channels where space might be limited but power is still required.
Gerrys Pro Tip
The Supermatch is incredibly forgiving, making it a dream for overhead and off-the-ground casters. To really see this rod shine at night, pay attention to the 3M reflective tape between the top two guides. Dont blast it with a high-power headlamp constantly; just a quick charge from your light will make the tip glow vividly, making those subtle flattie bites stand out against the dark waves
