ESP Syncro XT Standard And Loaded

-The XT of Syncro literally stands for extra tough, indicating that thisexceptional monofilament is highly abrasion resistant and durable.
– The breaking strain quoted on each spool is aneasily achievable knot strength, appropriate to its diameter. However, withcarefully tied, mechanically superior knots like the five turn grinner, averagebreaking strains can be significantly increased as indicated below.
10lb (possible 15lb), diameter 0.30mm
12lb (possible 17.5lb), diameter 0.33mm
15lb (possible 21lb), diameter 0.37mm
18lb (possible 26lb), diameter 0.40mm

So Syncro XT Loaded was born. Upon castingout it sinks through the surface film virtually unaided until it just hangsfrom the rod tips. And if a slack line approach is required it stays that way, lying tight to the bottom to the extent that you can feel it peeling up off thelake bed when winding in.

The dark olive pigment disappears against anylake bed and is actually very difficult to see when suspended off the rod tips, even in tap clear water.

Regarding knot strength, just like theoriginal Syncro XT, the new Loaded is underrated and the following knotstrengths can be achieved using a carefully tied five turn grinner (tested oncalibrated digital force meter):

Nominal 10lb (0.30mm)Possible 15lb
Nominal 12lb (0.33mm) Possible 17.5lb
Nominal 15lb (0.37mm) Possible 21lb
Nominal 18lb (0.40mm) Possible 26lb

Although Syncro XT Loaded is limp straightoff the spool we recommend soaking it overnight so that it absorbs water andbecomes even suppler as it is loaded onto the reel spool.
