Fulling Mill Spider Hare Lug & Partridge Barbless

Fulling Mill Spider Hare Lug & Partridge Barbless Classic Soft Hackle Fly

TheSpider Hare Lug & Partridge Barbless is a timeless general-purpose spider pattern, designed to imitate a wide range of emerging insects. With its subtle movement and natural materials, this fly is deadly effective when trout are feeding just below the surface.

Combining a buggy hare lug body with a soft partridge hackle, this pattern excels during hatches of March Browns, caddis, and other upwinged flies. The soft hackle pulses and breathes in the water, creating a lifelike impression that triggers confident takes from both wild brown trout and stocked fish.

Tied on a barbless hook, this spider is ideal for modern catch-and-release fishing and competitions, allowing for easy unhooking while maintaining excellent hook-hold during the fight.

Best Fishing Applications

• Fishing during March Brown and caddis hatches
• Early stages of a hatch when trout are not fully rising
