14g | Sinking
The Jackson Quick Set Head Shad 14 grams Sinking Lure is a jig head/soft-bait head for anglers who want to put a soft plastic into the correct depth and keep it swimming straight.
The head is not just weight; it decides sink rate, body angle, bottom contact, and how naturally the trailer moves.
Match it with a soft bait that fits the hook and head size.
A steady swim works when fish are chasing, while lift-and-drop or slow bottom contact works when they are holding close to structure.
If the plastic rigs crooked, the whole presentation suffers.
It is strongest around drains, flats, rock edges, harbour walls, channels, and bottom transitions.
Choose lighter when fish are shallow or cautious, heavier when current and depth make contact difficult.
The baitfish-style finish is best treated as a natural option for clear to lightly stained water, decent light, and situations where predators are already keyed in on small bait rather than just reacting to loud contrast.
TARGET SPECIES: flathead, sea bass, snapper, rockfish, bream, perch, grouper, and predators feeding near bottom or around soft plastics.
