Polypropylene Yarn

Polypropylene Yarn Floating, lightweight yarn for wings, posts, and strike indicators.

Polypropylene Yarn is a fly-tying essential prized for its natural buoyancy and versatility. Made from lightweight synthetic fibers, its ideal for creating wings, parachute posts, trailing shucks, and even simple strike indicators. Unlike natural materials, polypropylene resists water absorption, helping flies float longer while maintaining a crisp profile. Its fine, easy-to-handle texture makes tying neat, consistent patterns simple, whether youre building delicate dry flies or practical indicators. Available in multiple colours, it offers plenty of options for hatch-matching or high-visibility setups. Reliable, durable, and effective, Polypropylene Yarn belongs on every tying bench.
