RIO’s Smelling Salt Tarpon Fly

The RIO Smelling Salt is a versatile saltwater fly originally designed for laid-up tarpon, featuring a soft landing presentation, neutral buoyancy, and a mono loop to prevent fouling.

On the flats, it has proven irresistible not only to tarpon but also to snook and other predatory species. Perfect for Florida and Caribbean anglers who want a multi-species fly rather than tarpon-only patterns, the Smelling Salt is a reliable choice for targeting big gamefish with precision and subtlety.
