Sakura Cover Bladed Jig 14g – JC24 Clearwater

Sakura Cover Bladed Jig 14g: The Ultimate Weedless Power Fisher

If youre a fan of the iconic Cajun Bladed Jig but need something that can punch through the heaviest junk without snagging, the Sakura Cover Bladed Jig is your new go-to. Developed by the experts at Sakura, this evolution is specifically tuned for crowded, high-pressure environments where the fish are hiding deep in the weeds.

The standout innovation here is the addition of six titanium elytra weed guards. These flexible yet resilient wires allow the lure to weave through lily pads, reed stems, and sunken timber with ease. To ensure it remains a joy to fish all day, Sakura reduced the blade size, providing a fast, high-frequency oscillation that creates a distinctive vibration without the heavy thump that can fatigue an anglers wrist.

Key Performance Features

• Instant Start Technology: The blade is designed to catch water and begin vibrating the millisecond it hits the surface. This is crucial for on the drop strikes as the lure falls into pockets of vegetation.

• Titanium Protection: Unlike fiber weed guards that can lose their shape, the six titanium wires provide a permanent cage for the hook point, springing back into place even after a violent strike.

• Clearwater Specialist: The JC24 colorway is specifically designed for high-visibility conditions. It features natural, translucent tones that mimic baitfish without overwhelming the predators in clear water.

• Power Fishing Ready: The aerodynamic design and compact blade allow for high-speed retrieves, making it the perfect search bait for covering large flats and weed lines quickly.

Where to Use the Cover Bladed Jig

• Heavy Lily Pads & Weed Beds: Use the 14g weight to rip the lure through gaps in the vegetation. The titanium guards ensure you spend more time fishing and less time clearing debris from your hook.

• Sunken Timber and Roots: The elytra wires are excellent at deflecting the hook away from hard structures, making this lethal for targeting Pike and big Perch lurking in submerged wood.

• Clear Reservoirs and Lakes: The JC24 Clearwater pattern excels when the water has high visibility. It provides enough flash to draw attention but enough realism to seal the deal.

• Marginal Reeds: Cast tight to the bank. Because the blade starts instantly, you can work the lure through the stalks and trigger reaction bites from fish holding in only inches of water.

Gerrys Tip: To maximize the hunting action of this jig, try using a soft plastic trailer with a paddle tail or craw shape. The added resistance of a trailer causes the blade to hunt more erratically to the left and right, which often triggers the biggest fish in the lake to strike
