Shimano Sienna Sensitive 2.11m (0.5-7g) | The Finesse Mastery Tool

At Gerrys Fishing, we believe that feeling the bite shouldnt cost the earth. The Shimano Sienna Sensitive is a specialist entry-level rod designed specifically for the growing world of LRF (Light Rock Fishing) and ultra-light street fishing. When every gram counts and every vibration matters, this is the rod that delivers high-end feedback at an unbeatable price.

This 2.11m (611) model is the ultimate finesse tool. With an incredibly light casting weight of 0.5-7g, it is built to handle the tiniest jigs and soft plastics. Featuring a Solid Carbon Tip, this rod acts as a high-definition antenna, transmitting the most tentative plucks from Perch, Zander, or light saltwater species directly to your hand.

Precision Engineering for Light Lures

• Solid Carbon Tip: The heart of the Sensitive range. This fine, solid tip provides maximum visual and tactile feedback, making it the perfect partner for drop-shotting and micro-jigging.

• Full Carbon Blank: Despite its delicate feel, the full carbon construction ensures the rod remains crisp and responsive, allowing you to impart perfect life into small lures.

• Extra-Fast Action: Designed for snap hook sets and precision lure manipulation, the extra-fast action ensures you react as fast as the fish do.

• Shimano Hardlite Guides: These lightweight stainless steel guides are specifically chosen to minimize weight on the blank, ensuring they dont dampen the rods incredible sensitivity while remaining fully braid-friendly.

Use Example: Urban Street Fishing & Drop-Shotting

Imagine youre fishing a canal basin in the heart of the city. Youve rigged up a 2g tungsten sinker with a 2-inch finesse worm on a drop-shot rig, targeting the Perch hiding against the concrete pilings.

The 2.11m Ultra-Light blank allows you to flick the tiny rig with pinpoint accuracy. As you slowly work the lure, the solid carbon tip stays under slight tension, telegraphing the thump-thump of a Perch inspecting the bait. When the fish finally inhales the lure, the tip dips visibly before you even feel the weight, allowing you to set the hook instantly. Its light-tackle fishing at its most addictive.
