Tate’s Bay Master Tear Drop Bucktail Jigs

The Bay Master Bucktail features a tear-drop shaped head and a sharp needle-point black nickel hook. These bucktail hair jigs are designed for targeting striped bass and fluke but are effective at catching many different species. This versatile lure can be used on its own or enhanced with a strip or grub. The added trailer can add color, size, profile, resistance, flutter, vibration and in the case of Gulp scent!

A small and compact fishing jig, the bucktail is simple yet very effective! It moves and falls quickly through the water column. When fished with skill a bucktail can jig, dart and dance with an action most fish can not resist.

Bucktails are lead head jigs and in the cast of Bay Master Bucktails they have a super sharp and strong black nickel hook by Mustad. The hook’s size and wire gauge is carefully chosen to be just right for the size and weight. Both too heavy and too light of a gauge is no good! If you are looking for an extra strong, super heavy gauge hook bucktail… check out Tate’s Jetty Master Bucktails!
