VMC 9626PS 4X Treble Hooks

VMC 9626PS 4X Treble Hooks

4X strong. Short shank. The treble custom plug builders pick.

VMC’s 9626PS is one of the most respected 4X-strong saltwater trebles on the market and the hook many serious custom plug builders specify when they’re rigging their own work. Built on Perma Steel for corrosion resistance, with a short shank that doesn’t impair lure action and a sticky-sharp point out of the package, this is the treble for upgrading any plug that’s going to see big bass, blues, or tuna.

Key Features

• 4X-strong wire significantly heavier than stock production trebles

• Sticky-sharp out of the package, holds points through hard hooksets

Rigging & Use

• Match hook size to the stock hook size on the lure as a starting point
• Step up one size for big fish (tuna, big striper, bluefish)
• Pair with Owner Hyper Wire split rings for a fully upgraded business end
• These are the trebles many Super Strike plugs and rebuilt classics get fitted with

Why We Like It

The 9626PS is the treble we hang on most of our shop-built and rebuilt plugs. They’re sharp, they’re strong, they don’t bend out under big fish leverage, and the 10-pack pricing makes upgrading a plug bag worth of trebles a one-night project. The custom plug guys we trust use these that’s good enough recommendation for us.
