The Semi Barbed designation is a key feature, as it indicates the treble hook tips have a small barb for secure hook-ups, while being easier to unhook and often adhering to more responsible fishing rules than fully barbed hooks.
Here are the specific details of this rig:
| Feature | Specification | Purpose for Pike Fishing |
| Size / Target Bait | Medium (M) | Designed for smaller deadbaits or pieces of fish, typically up to 20 cm (about 8 inches) in length. |
| Trace Length | 50 cm | An ideal length for float fishing, providing strong pike protection while remaining manageable for presentation near the float. |
| Hook Type | Single Treble Hook | The Float Rig variant generally uses a single, robust treble hook (as opposed to the double trebles on the Multi-Purpose or Long-Cast rigs). |
| Hook Size | #6 Treble | A relatively small, yet strong, treble hook perfect for presenting smaller, neater baits under a float for wary pike. |
| Hook Barbing | Semi Barbed | Offers a secure hold during the fight but allows for faster and safer unhooking of the fish, which is beneficial for the pikes welfare. |
| Breaking Strain | 14 kg / 30 lbs | Made from robust 7-strand steel wire, offering reliable resistance against the sharp teeth of a pike. |
| Presentation | Stealthy Camouflage Sleeves | Rig components are covered to reduce visibility and offer a more natural look underwater. |
