Westin W3 PowerTeez 3rd Generation Rod 84 MH (21-70g)

The Westin W3 PowerTeez 3rd Generation 84 MH is the definitive spinning rod for the serious predator angler who demands power, sensitivity, and maximum control when casting large soft lures. This rod is defined by its extra-fast action and a very powerful backbone, making it an outstanding tool for jigging and casting heavier baits for big zander and trophy pike.

Features & Angler Benefits

• Extra-Fast Action & Power: This unique combination delivers exceptional casting ability for heavy lures (2170g) while providing a lightning-quick tip response. The powerful backbone ensures you can drive the hook home hard, even at long distances, and control large, aggressive fish.

• Ultimate Sensitivity: Built with a new Torayca High Performance Carbon fibre blank, the W3 PowerTeez feels incredibly responsivelike a natural extension of your arm. This sensitivity ensures you will not miss many bites, translating even a tentative nip into a hook-set opportunity.

• Optimized for Heavy Soft Lure Jigging: The rods action is perfectly tuned for working large soft plastics, providing the precise control needed to impart a natural jigging action, which is key to triggering strikes from wary zander and pike.

• Ideal Length: The 84 length provides excellent leverage for fighting fish and maximizes casting distance for covering large areas of water, whether from the bank or boat.

• High-Quality Components: Equipped with durable EUKTLTSG Guides and a comfortable, high-quality EVA handle for relaxed casting and fishing all day.

Ideal Fishing Applications

The 84 length, Medium Heavy (MH) power, and extra-fast action make this rod highly specialized for heavy soft lure presentations:

1. Heavy Softbait Jigging:

   • Technique: Use large shads, paddle tails, or creature baits paired with heavy jig heads (up to 70g). Employ aggressive single or double hops, maintaining close contact with the bottom.

   • Benefit: The extra-fast action allows for powerful jig movements and instantaneous line pickup. The backbone is built to fight large pike and heavy zander away from cover.

2. Long-Range Casting:

   • Technique: The length maximizes casting distance with heavy lures, ideal for covering vast areas of water from the bank or boat.

   • Benefit: The super sensitive tip helps you feel the lures action and detect bites even at extreme range, maximizing your strike-to-land ratio.

3. Heavy Twitching & Jerkbaiting:

   • Technique: Suitable for working medium-to-large jerkbaits and twitchbaits, where the extra-fast tip provides the crisp snap needed for aggressive, accurate lure action.
